The name "fairy kisses" evokes a sense of magic and lightness, perfectly capturing the delicate nature of these meringue-topped delights. They are a popular treat during the holiday season and special occasions, cherished for their sweet and enchanting flavor.
Ingredients
150 gram flour
50 gram sugar
100 gram butter, soften
1 yolk
1 pinch salt
1 tbsp water
48 pieces toffifee
For the Egg white
2 egg white
1 tbsp lemon juice
160 gram sugar
Directions
In a bowl, knead together the flour, sugar, butter, egg yolk, water, and salt. Let it rest in the fridge for an hour. Then, roll it out and cut out circles.
Place a Toffifee in the middle of each circle.
Beat egg whites and lemon juice until stiff, while slowly adding the remaining sugar. Pipe the meringue onto the circles, ensuring the Toffifees are completely covered. Then, bake in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius (approximately 350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15-20 minutes.
Let the Feenküsse (fairy kisses) cool and sprinkle dark chocolate on top.
