With this basic dough, delicious cookies are quick and easy to make. The perfect recipe - not just for the Christmas season.
Ingredients
125 gram butter, soft
200 gram wheat flour
100 gram sugar
1 pack vanilla sugar
0.5 pkg baking powder
1 eggs
Directions
For the shortcrust pastry, knead the butter, flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and egg into a smooth dough. Place the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes
Line a baking tray with baking paper and preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat (fan oven: 160 degrees) . Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out the dough on the work surface to a thickness of about 5 mm and cut out using any cookie cutters. Place the cookies directly on the baking tray. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 7-10 minutes (per tray). Allow to cool completely.
For the icing, mix the icing sugar and lemon juice together and spread over the cookies with a teaspoon. Finally, decorate with colorful sugar decorations. Allow the icing to set.
